You are a hot ticket Miss Lulah~Happy Birthday!
HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY TO MY NIECE LULAH!!

John & Jay going hard during Sunday's WOD.

Really good work Mrs. "C"~we'll keep a close eye on those squats too!
I must say, I think Sunday morning WOD’s with CFP athletes are some of my favorite times! The energy is WAY HIGH and no one is stressed about what time it is.

Jodi looking THRILLED to be done with Sunday's WOD~sorry I missed the whole thing girl..had to get our future CFP stars on the road to the 2020 Games!

GREAT WORK~GREAT ATTITUDES!

5 yearl old Sydney rippin' out some pull ups!

Oh yeah, another group of fire breathing kids!
I was psyched to also do a test run with 8 AWESOME kids at 10:30am. Everyone tried really hard and was really patient! I am looking to do a kids class on Saturday mornings at 10:30am. For now I am going to cap it at 8 kids. If it appears to grow in popularity I will entertain the idea of adding another class. a 10x pass is $45 if a parent is a current CFP athlete.
TODAY’S WOD
Monday 091005
30 Muscle-ups for time
Post time to comments.
If you cannot do the muscle-ups do 120 pull-ups and 120 dips.
Compare to 090717.
3 pull ups/3 dips equals one muscle up. Fun is…!

You can’t see it well, but picture #3 shows Diana, Pam, and Carrie representing CrossFit Persevere! You ladies made us proud! I got word on Sunday early evening that our tough A$$ girls represented VERY WELL! You can enlarge the photo by going to the CrossFit main page.

sorry to miss it, looks like it was a lot of fun! Thanks for incorporating the wee ones, Kimmie!
Kathy C…you have rejoined the comments section! I will see you rejoin our group tomorrow with renewed focus and fire in your belly girl!
oh, that fire was burnin, until I read the wod…. now it’s more of a smoulder… jk – I’ll be there with my mountain gear, ready to climb
and not to be a whiny stickler, but wouldn’t that be 90 pull ups and 90 dips? You must have been doing the run to C2 row ratio…..
good girl~I’ll be ready to mountain climb with you!!!! Everyone needs a buddy!
CONGRATULATIONS Pam, Carrie and Diana on achieving the CF Level 1 Certification!!! And it sounds like you rocked the house for CFP! Love the group shot – and the CFP logo wear too
Meme, you looked stunning at the wedding!! And who was your good looking date
…. hope you had as much fun as it looked like you were having!
You are TOO kind Kath…I would have done some serious editing before several of those pics were out for the world to see! Think I need to have a chat with the paparazzi ~
They are on Facebook too Mom!!!!
Oh good grief…………..
Facebook? I saw them in People mag….
You look great Meme!
Gee thanks Mel ~ You too are very kind!
I went with Angie today because I missed it, it’s my challenge WOD his month and my elbow is way too torn up to do MUs.
Angie:
100 Pull Ups
100 Push Ups
100 Sit Ups
100 Squats
* Must complete all 100 before moving on to the next 100
For Time: 11:36 (PR by 1:18)
My elbow is still killing me after this one, but nothing compared to what MUs would have done to it.
Congrats on your PR!
My body is killing me after yesterday’s medley of fun!..I still can’t believe your CRAZY time!
Thanks!
Yesterday’s wasn’t bad. You destroyed it for using 95#! I only broke the cleans once (on round 12, I think). The sit ups and BEs were pretty easy.
I am beat up after yesterday.
Muscle ups with the shoulder..not so much! Did 2 bar muscle ups and passed.
Did Squats: work sets 3 sets 220# 5 reps each set-good depth.
Ran 1 mile on treadmill.
Kim,
I just saw that you added the cert photo above; nice!! I have so many great pics from the weekend that I promise i will develop and bring in for your wall; lots of the trainers doing some great lifts; i.e., the SNATCH (WHOOP!!) !! and push jerks, etc., some serious weight they were throwing around; really fun to watch.
Decided to make up the power clean, sit up, back ext. WOD today:
21, 18, 15, 12, 9, 6, 3
Did 65#, did half back ext. in GHD and half out as it was in use while i was WODDING!! Time: 10:17, or 10:23? Can’t remember, something like that! …..Right arm is still cranky so had to take it a little easy today; certain movements still hurt; could not even think about muscle ups.
practiced pull ups and dislocates with the PVC pipe; my goal is to work with it everyday and improve my tightness/lack of flexibility. maybe i should try yoga……..
Great to see everyone today; Mango, Kathy C., Mel, Gail, Lisa (you go girl!) Carrie; great work on the above WOD!! Ya’ll rocked it!!
CONGRATS again, Pam, Carrie and to you too Di on your certifications!!
Fun to WOD with ya Kath!!
I did 55# for the PC, SU, Back ext. WOD, time 17:42, legs were really feeling those power cleans.
After a zone snack and a long rest, did 30 jumping to ring supports, time 4:44.
Great efforts by everyone this am, the place was rockin’
CFP was crazy this morning! Lots of peeps making up the WOD’s from this past weekend ~ several double WODing and Energizer Bunny Lisa going for three…Yikes!
CFWUx3 No dips
30 Muscle Ups for time ~ scaled to progression from kneeling position
4:00
Last time I did the progression from a sitting position in 2:29 ~ Guess it’s time to move to the next step = jumping MU’s. Excellent job with those Carrie and Lisa!
Did Rippetoe’s Back Squats for strength training ~
Work Sets 3 Sets @ 135# x 5 reps
Kept the work sets at 135# because I could feel my depth wasn’t quite low enough the prior two reps. It was better the first two work sets…not quite there the last 2 reps of the last work set.
Coach ~ Your BS were awesome AND heavy!
Kim,
You sent a RockStar crew to the Cert in Watertown. Pam, Diana, and Carrrie represented you guys well. Great questions, laughter, and effort during the wods. Keep up the good work, sista’!
Congrats Ladies for receiving your L1′s!
THANKS CHUCK!!!
WATERTOWN L1 CERT LADIES~ a feather in our cap from Chuck Carswell-HQ Coach!
Chuck,
Thank YOU for all the knowledge you shared with us. An INCREDIBLE weekend!
count Seamus in for the 10X pass! Maybe it will get less “complicated” for him over time!
Did a wod I found on Crossfit Stamfords site
4 rounds, using a continuous 3 minute clock.
row 500m and then use what’s left of the 3 minutes and do as many 115lb jerks as possible. Rest 3 minutes between rounds. Total number of jerks in 4 rounds: 57.
Harder than it looks, but fun.
Tom, thanx for the timimg and push. Needed you that last round. would’ve broke 60.
that sounds like some different kind of fun Dr. D!!!
Great efforts as always!
Count Maren in for a ten time pass! Our dinner conversation tonight was almost entirely about weight lifting, and how she “always dumps the bar forward” huh? cracks me up
