The littles are upset they will be missing this weekend and so are the Bigs!!!
Thrusters weren’t as bad as I thought they were gonna be. Surprising. Nice work this am Justin, Kelly, and Tom!

  7. Tom Vickers says:

    Thrusters (7×1): 165, 175, 185, 195, 205, 215 (PR), 225 (F)

I came really close to hitting 225. My elbow was killing me all through this one.

    Thursters~interesting with the shoulder!

    85
    95
    105
    115
    125
    135 fail
    135 fail

last time I did this WOD was 5/28/09 and failed at 135# then too…left shoulder could have handled the load, no way on the right one.

Ran a 5K at home on treadmill at 6am for a slow easy break a sweat run.

  9. Mom says:

It was fun to WOD with you today Gail and Mel ~ Good job taking on the Row, Run, Box Jump medley after your Thrusters Gail, and you too Mel with your run. Better – Stronger – Faster!

    CFWU x 3 Ring Dips

    Thrusters ~ 7 Rounds x 1 rep

    65#, 65#, 70#, 75#, 80#, 85# (PR), 90# (F)

I meant to start with 55#, but at rep 2 realized I loaded the bar wrong… Oops! Thanks for the tips as the load started to get heavy Kimmie ~

    Ran 1 mile 12:52

This shows I need to run more often if I EVER want to have a 35 minute 5K! But, today I ran the whole way – no walking, so that is an improvement. I’ll take it.

Great to see you this morning Di :)

  10. Pam McGraw says:

Good work Meme!! Running definitely is something that took me a while to even sort of, kind of “like”, the more you do it, the “easier” it gets!! It yields good results, so stick to it! Great job too on the Thrusters!!

I started the thrusters, didn’t get far. I don’t trust that my right arm can handle it yet so i need to stop doing things half ass and just get over it and rest it. Did 45# X 3 to warm up, 65#, 75#, then racked 85# and decided just by how it felt NOT to lift it!! HA!! DAMNIT!! DAMNIT!! I have been so fortunate over this last year (i am so knocking on wood right now) to be lucky enough to not have knee, back, or any other injuries….i guess its all catching up with me, go figure, right after my birthday. Its all DOWNHILL now, right?!!!

I am talking way too much. Took on the other WOD; Vickers make it up?? I liked it; gave me just what i needed, a good sweat:

    AMRAP in 15 min.

    Row 100 meters
    10 20″ box jumps
Run 100 meters (went to SS at end of driveway)
    10 20″ box jumps

Got just about 6 rounds; about 10 seconds short from making it back to the garage when Mel yelled TIME!!!

p.s. i had first post last night, funny thing is, when i hit “”submit comment”, my comment doesn’t show up. sup with that? i tried 3 times. Spare me the technologically challenged jokes; I ALREADY KNOW!!

    • Kathy C says:

maybe the computer sensed that you were about to write a short story and didn’t feel up to posting the challenge…. lol

Great job listening to your body- your injury is probably more of an overuse thing from your SNATCHES (WHOOP)! I hope that your arm feels better…

You’re “first post” in my book ;) (plus, Jodi cheats)

    • Mom says:

I don’t know if I’ll ever “like” running, Pam, but I will take your advice and keep at it ~ at least on strength days.

Great job on Mr. V’s WOD today. You were wise to listen to your body – your right arm anyway – and stop doing thrusters. They aren’t going anywhere…you can make them up next rest day!

  11. Pam McGraw says:

Carrie, Happy Anniversary; hope you arrived safely in Atlantis!! Take some well needed rest and don’t be WODDING every day, unless its with Rich!!

  12. Caleb says:

I now require a 34 inch waist because my legs are too big for 32′s
    Thanks kim

  13. jodi blyler says:

Why would I wanna cheat and lay down the crappy groundwork for future top spot posts ….

  14. Diana Vickers says:

Hi everyone. Nice to see you all :) . Be back in the am I hope.

    Thrusters:

65#, 70#, 75#, 80 (F X 4). My form was okay. Depth was great. Just couldn’t that dang bar overhead. A little too sluggish out of the squat – maybe pushing too soon. On my last attempt I was getting that thing up one way or another. After I failed the thruster – instead of dumping it – I brought back to rack and split jerked that damn thing up. It was weightless :) . Gave me the confidence that I could put it up without a problem. Need to work on my form a little.

PS – for those of you who don’t know. I am also participating in the Zone challenge. Well kind of participating. I am Zoning and started 9/30. Keep up the good work everyone.

  15. Pam McGraw says:

Great work DI!! Great to see you this a.m., if only for a brief moment; maybe next time we will be on the same schedule.
    Jodi, you are a crackerjack…..
Kathy C., are you trying to say that i talk too much? i think people just look at McGraw’s post and space over it, like oh, great, here she goes again. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. Hey sometimes i like to talk, ya know? whatever.

  16. Melinda says:

Fun to Wod with you too Meme and Gail.
Thrusters 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70PR, 75 not happening, felt good until then, will get it next time.
Ran 1 mile, 11:42. A little slower than my more flat home route but at least I’m getting used to that dang hill. The last few times I ran that mile, I didn’t even write the times down, 13 or 14 minutes, ugh. I may have been a bit impulsive when I chose that goal of an under 30 min 5k, someday!!
Great to see you Di, hope you make it in tomorrow.
Blyler Family, have a fun weekend away and Happy Anniversary to the Bowmans!!
Good work everyone that took on the row/box jump WOD.
